Sign 1.39 "Accident Hazardous Area (Other Danger)" is installed in front of a dangerous section of the road in places where the width of the carriageway, radii of curvature, etc. do not meet the requirements of building codes, and warns of approaching the place or area of concentration of accidents.
In case of installation of sign 1.39 in places or on sites of concentration of road accidents depending on a kind of danger together with a sign plates 7.21.1, 7.21.2, 7.21.3, 7.21.4 are necessarily established. The sign is installed outside the settlements at a distance of 150-300 m, in the settlements - at a distance of 50-100 m before the beginning of the dangerous area. If necessary, the sign is installed at another distance, which is indicated in Table 7.1.1.
